::  Here at Legacy Farms we've been raising Aussies since 1998.  Every dog used for breeding is thoroughly researched for genetic soundness.  All hips are done and OFA'd good or the dog is not used for breeding.  DNA and eyes are done.  Bite and gait checked for correctness.  We try to follow the Australian Shepherd Club of America's standard for the aussie as closely as possible.

 :: Temperament is critical and our dogs and puppies are socialized from birth.  We believe very strongly   in obedience classes and all the dogs go through at least one series.  Aussies are incredibly smart and their ability to learn is amazing. All the dogs and puppies are crate and kennel trained. They are all current on their vaccinations and wormings. 

:: We don't have litters often - maybe once a year. The puppies are a priority when they are here and get lots of time and experiences. The entire family helps socialize the puppies.

 :: We started showing the dogs because we wanted to be able to say that the dogs we are breeding were truly sound, beautiful dogs.  Show winnings are listed with the individual pictures as they become available.
